You've heard of the party game Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon, where any celebrity can be connected to the ubiquitous actor with just six connections.
Well, Alec Baldwin has a different take. In Six Degrees Could Change the World, the actor narrates an apocalyptic glimpse into a world where headlines are shaped much less by celebrity gossip.
Instead, the world is marked by extinctions, strife and a new human struggle to survive. (At least, that's how it looks in Six Degrees: Our Future on a Hotter Planet, the Mark Lynas book that inspired the show, which warns: "Were this scenario to be a television program, it would be prefaced by a note of caution some viewers may find some of the following scenes upsetting.")
So, if you're up for a little reality horror TV, tune in to the National Geographic Channel on Sunday, Feb. 10, at 8 p.m. ET/9 p.m. PT. If you just can't wait, check out a cool graphic at the Nat Geo Website that lets you browse through a possible warmer world of tomorrow degree by frightening degree.
