By Dan Shapley

Robert Redford employs his star-power and passion for the environment in a new video, debuting today on The Daily Green, that urges the 2008 presidential candidates to take action on global warming. "In every generation, there are a few defining moments when we have the chance to chart a new course that will leave our children a better world," Redford says in the video. "Our moment is now, and our challenge is to solve global warming." Watch the video below. The video is part of the League of Conservation Voters Education Fund's "The Heat is On" campaign, which focuses on influencing voters in the influential early primary states - Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada. Project Director Navin Nayak said the goal is simple: to inspire presidential leadership. To see the candidates' stand on the climate change issue, check out The Heat is On Web site. Redford has been busy with green video lately. He debuted the Sundance Channel Green last week, offering viewers the first prime-time programming block dedicated entirely to the environment.
