Al Gore: Nobel Peace Prize Tomorrow? U.S. President Next?

The Nobel Peace Prize winner will be announced Friday, and Gore-watchers (yes, they are their own political class) are among those expecting that the former Democratic Presidential Candidate-turned climate crusader is in the running. Another supposed candidate is also a campaigner for the climate, Canadian activist Sheila Watt-Cloutier.

It's important to remember that the Norwegian prize committee never announces their short list, so this is all speculative.

The draft Gore camp is eagerly watching to see if this award will be enough to convince Gore that he has enough support for another presidential run. An Oscar didn't do it. Neither did an Emmy. But the Nobel Peace Prize? That's a biggie.
