Global Warming Causes Fashion Faux Pas

With Climate Change, Retailers Fear Sales Will Run Cold as the Weather Stays Warm

The hard fast rules of fashion have long revolved around the seasons -- no white after Labor Day; no short skirts in November; no socks with sandals. In an epoch of global warming, however, consumers are tossing seasonal "do's and don'ts" out of mind and closet, according to the Daily Telegraph. Designers and industry experts now fear that the traditional cold-weather collections, their savior after unsupportive summer seasons, will loose profitability with warming weather.

As the climate changes faster than fashion, style cognoscenti are employing climatologists as trend advisors. We knew global warming would bring about rising sea levels, extreme weather, and glacial retreat. Who knew it could also put furry boots out of style?
