Tropical Storm Lorenzo Forming in Gulf of Mexico

Tropical Depression Is Expected to Reach Tropical Storm Strength Before Landfall

NOAA. The tropical depression that has been parked off the coast of Mexico this week is expected to gather enough strength to become Tropical Storm Lorenzo, the 12th named storm of the season.

Tropical storm warnings are in effect for parts of Mexico's Gulf coast, as the storm continues to churn about 200 miles from the coast. Expected track of Tropical Depression 13/Tropical Storm Lorenzo National Hurricane Center
