Tropical Storm Could Be Forming in Gulf

Some Projections Show Storm Forming and Striking New Orleans

An area of low pressure near the Florida Peninsula could form into a tropical storm over the next day or two, as it passes over the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico, the National Hurricane Center reported this morning.
