Brad Pitt's green Katrina relief

Brad Pitt's plan to bring green and affordable housing to the Lower 9th Ward in New Orleans won approval from city planners last week. The Global Green USA project has the backing of the movie star. Expect the first home to be standing by Aug. 29 - the second anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, which hit the 9th Ward hard. Pitt brought international attention to the project when he invited architects to propose building designs that would meet his vision for an environmentally sustainable housing complex.
