Linking Global Warming And Extreme Weather

By Dan Shapley

Global warming will lead to more intense and frequent extreme weather events -- including heat waves, floods and wildfires. But what about the heat waves, floods and wildfires we've experienced around the world this year?

Science can't link these to global climate changes. That's the short answer. Politicians and pundits can be more free to make that link, and many have.

We at The Daily Green take a similarly aggressive approach. While we agree there's no scientific link, we highlight extreme weather events and point out that extreme weather events are exactly what we have in store if nothing is done to combat climate change.
