First National Business Organization For Green Business Forms A chamber of commerce for a growing community with no boundaries and boundless potential: The Green Chamber sprang into existence today, designed to serve the function of a chamber of commerce for the national green business community. The non-profit will start by defining what a green business is, serve both non-profit and for-profit corporations, and lobby for laws that aid the sector. Executive Director Jon Anderson called the Green Chamber the "missing link for green companies to share market research, employment needs and business leads to further their growth." A working definition of "green" included in the Green Chamber press release is: "promotion of fair trade, non-toxic materials, recycling and waste reduction, and alternative energy use in business and personal practice." Members are certified through a "detailed questionnaire that asks the application about their methods of waste reduction, recycling, conservation and other business practices, as well as certifying the validity of their product or service."
