Wildfire Burned 560,000 Acres In Georgia And Florida The wildfire that burned 560,000 acres in Georgia and Florida this spring cost Georgia alone $100 million, according to a tally by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. With 49 fires burning across the West today, the cost of wildfires around the country will be high this season.
