Texas Flooding To Resume

Share

By Dan Shapley

Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana Also Under Flood Watch Thunderstorms this afternoon could make eastern Texas, and adjacent portions of Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana flood again -- as the third week of flooding in the region continues. Saturated ground can't take any more water, so the heavy rains that could accompany these thunderstorms is expected to runoff quickly into swollen rivers, causing additional flooding. The storms are expected to move more quickly than those that caused severe flooding in the past three weeks, and flooding is expected to be minimal or moderate at most, according to the National Weather Service.
