Power from, well, poop

Get over the ick factor, and this idea clicks. Rather than pump it into the Los Angeles Harbor, or truck it out of town as fertilizer, this California city will pump treated wastes into the ground to boost methane gas production. The gas will power fuel cells, creating enough electricity for 3,000 homes.
