National Maps Show Severity Of Fire, As Heat And Drought Fuel Blazes At least 52 fires are burning in 13 states, as of the latest count, as the summer fulfills predictions as being among the worst fire seasons on record. The largest fire is the fast-growing Milford Flat fire in Utah, which at nearly 300,000 acres is the largest in the state's history. here. Red flag warnings are in place across an area of Idaho and Utah, as well as a swath of Southern California today, and a Fire Weather Watch is on for parts of the Oregon and Washington coastline. For more information, click
