Texas Floods Bear Unexpected Fruit

The Peach Crop In Texas Is Best In A Decade, Thanks To The Deluge Farmers live and die by the weather, so reports of repeated intense flooding across Texas in the past three weeks worried many -- and for good reason. But in northern Texas, fruit growers felt blessed. The peach crop is expected to be among the 10 best ever recorded -- thanks in no small part to the heavy rains that caused devastation, death and evacuation throughout much of the state and its neighbors recently.
