Al Gore's Concerts To Raise Awareness About Climate Change Win Worldwide Acclaim
In the giant inflated "press bubble" beside Giant Stadium outside New York City, Product Manager Karin Musckof of MSN announced on Saturday that the global Live Earth concerts have become the largest live entertainment event in history. "We have reached 9 million streams," said Musckof. A spokesperson for Live Earth's organizers explained that MSN was chosen as the online partner for the event so it would "have the widest audience possible." Earlier on stage at Giant Stadium, actor Kevin Bacon had told the crowd, "Today we are 2 billion strong. On every continent today we''re calling on the unique power of music to shed light and truth." The goal of Live Earth is to raise global awareness and action on climate change. --Brian Clark Howard More on Live Earth: TDG Live From Live Earth (Live Blogged on 7-7-07) Report from Live Earth: Can Fashion Save the Planet?
