If you missed the acclaimed public broadcasting series, "Planet Earth," you can now get the entire five-disc set on DVD. Fans gushed about the series because of its vivid depictions of the Earth's beauty, and the fragility of its wildlife. The series brought new camera technology to far-flung corners of the world, so the producers could relay strikingly new images to living rooms across America and the U.K. It's a rare treat to see the world's wildlife in such detail, and the conservation imperative that runs through the film doesn't club you over the head so much as it quietly courts you, according to a story in the June 19 Chicago Tribune.
