Oil Execs Sobering After 'Sloppy Drunk' Price Spike

Gas prices were overly inflated because oil companies got "sloppy drunk" on profits, according to one analyst, and hurricanes are the only thing standing in a way of a general downward trend in prices at the pump. Prices are falling nationwide, and should continue to fall unless an Atlantic storm disrupts supplies. The hurricane season is projected to be unusually active, according to a story in the June 12 Los Angeles Times.
