Coke Starts Saving Water

Coca Cola Co. aims to save 75 billion gallons of clean water annually, as part of its new initiative to use water more efficiently and better clean the water after used. For Coke, the initiative can be seen as one part PR to every two parts green, as it has faced intense opposition around the world, particularly in India, for its use of water. But the beverage maker's sweeping plans will have a real impact if they come to fruition as envisioned, according to a story in the June 6 Los Angeles Times.
