Review:
Just unveiled at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show, the 2012 Passat represents Volkswagen's first midsize sedan that will be built in America at an all-new plant in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Much is still unknown about the 2012 Passat in terms of fuel economy and emissions, but Volkswagen estimates that it will return 43 miles per gallon on the highway (about the same as the Golf TDI). The base gasoline version will start at around $20,000, so you can expect the diesel version to go for several thousand dollars more than that.
