2011 Mercury Milan Hybrid (FWD)
Cost: $28,345
Fuel economy: 39 mpg (roughly twice as high as the gas engine)
Annual fuel cost: $1,137

The second of three similar hybrids in the Ford-Lincoln-Mercury family, the 2011 Mercury Milan Hybrid scores well with critics, but won't be around long. Ford is discontinuing the Mercury line.
