Led Zep Could Reunite For Live Earth

By Dan Shapley

The granddaddies of heavy metal, Led Zeppelin, will reunite in Bucharest for one of nine Live Earth festivals on seven continents July 7. At least, that's the rumor. Robert Plant, the graying lead singer of the fabled group, is slated to perform there. Whether the other surviving members will join him is the question. Rumors have been swirling about a possible reunion - though nothing materialized from similar rumors in 2003. Plant last toured with guitarist Jimmy Page in 1994, but his reported reconciliation with bassist John Paul Jones makes the idea tantalizing. Anyway, Spinal Tap, the spoof movie band with a whole lotta similarities to Led Zeppelin, has already reunited for Live Earth, according to a story in the May 24 Los Angeles Times.
