Richardson's Apollo-scale Energy Plan

Democratic presidential candidate Bill Richardson today proposed an Apollo-sized renewable energy push, and concurrent reduction of 80 percent of the nation's greenhouse gas emissions by 2040. In a policy speech in Washington, D.C., he invoked President Kennedy's Apollo moon mission, according to the Associated Press. Under the plan, vehicles would get 50 mpg by 2020, and foreign oil imports would be cut substantially. To read the AP story, click here.
