Leonardo DiCaprio's statement on the state of the world and what must be done to protect it, "The 11th Hour," has found its distributor, Warner Independent Pictures. The feature-length movie will debut at the Cannes Film Festival May 19. DiCaprio, who produced and narrates the documentary, is also at work on a reality TV series that will restore a blighted community as a green utopia. "Global warming is not only the number one environmental challenge we face today, but one of the most important issues facing all of humanity," DiCaprio has said. "We all have to do our part to raise awareness about global warming and the problems we as a people face in promoting a sustainable environmental future for our planet." DiCaprio has emerged as a celebrity who uses his star power to get the word out about the environment. He's devoted his Web site to green themes, including this simple suggestion: Dedicate a tree to your mom for Mother's Day.
