Planet Earth Inspiring Anew

Discovery's "Planet Earth" series promises to show the Earth as it has never before been seen, even by nature-show junkies. And its audience seems to agree that it has delivered. The series wraps up Sunday with a look at how the filmmakers created their 11-part "portrait" over the course of five years. Columnist Al Martinez hit the sweet spot when he called the series a "declaration of love."
