The Environmental Protection Agency released on Monday a comprehensive report about all the ways global warming will harm the health of U.S. citizens. Expect increased asthma rates, tropical diseases, heat stroke, worse allergies and all this on top of previous reports about how drought, severe storms and other changing weather patterns will cost us dearly.

Just don't expect the White House to do anything about it.

As has been consistently the case when it comes to climate change, the White House has obscured scientific findings, stood in the way of bureaucratic changes and steadfastly refused to enact new regulations that might reduce pollution that causes global warming.

In this case, officials sat on the report, which could have served as the legal basis for regulating carbon dioxide with the Clean Air Act, for seven months. Instead, the EPA will ask for additional comments on its findings, ensuring that no new regulation happens on this president's watch.
