Tropical Cyclone Sidr reached Category 4 strength over night, according to the Joint Typhoon Warning Center.

With 132 mph winds, the hurricane was on the cusp of Category 3/Category 4 strength -- and the forecast calls for it retaining that strength for the next 36 hours.

The prediction still calls for it approaching the Northeastern India and Bangladesh.

Strong storms that have hit this area in the past have caused hundreds of thousands of deaths.
