Cellulosic biofuel is one of the most promising aspects of the clean energy boom. The biofuel market is truly untapped and has immense room to grow. Technology regarding this field is rapidly improving. If you are looking to start and move yourself into a burgeoning job market, the biofuel market is the way to go.
Check out these three green biofuel careers:
Ethanol Production Manager
Aside from its more widely known use as an intoxicating drink, ethanol has economic uses. It finds major use as an automotive fuel or fuel additive. To a lesser extent, it is also used as fuel for so-called direct ethanol fuel cells (DEFC) used in production of electricity; feedstock; antiseptic (for example, in hand sanitizer gels and in medical wipes); antidote for methanol and ethylene glycol poisoning; solvent found in tinctures, paints and perfumes.
Biodiesel Fuel Specialist
The job is as green as they go. This revolutionary approach in alternative diesel fuel sources would boost economies and put a stop to the paralyzing dependence on imported petrol-based products in the future. The venture is still at its early stage but all indications point toward a demand for more exploration and research in the new frontiers of alternative and cheaper fuel sources.
Ethanol Lab Technician
Are you looking for a career that will be around for the next 30 years? You may want to consider looking into a career as an ethanol lab technician. As the world pushes for greener and cleaner fuels, ethanol is likely to play a large part. These technicians are in demand and the demand will only grow.
The Daily Green's Community News section is a forum for our audience to get the word out about issues that matter to them, enlist support, get help and advice, celebrate successes or share humor. The best submissions are personal (why I started this venture) short and to the point (400 words or so) and written in a style that speaks directly to the audience as peers (not like an ad or press release). E-mail submissions to news@thedailygreen.com and include "community news" in the subject line. Photos are also welcome, provided the submitter has rights to publish the image. Be sure to include credit and caption information.
