As the summer rolls on, so does the heat. Yet you don't have to stay sweaty and miserable. Check out these items to help you stay cool, hydrated and well read.
Stay Cool
Finding an energy-saving air conditioner is vital in the summer, since cooling is one of the biggest energy expenses. You can do both, stay cool and save energy, with the:
Haier Eco Air Conditioner. With a cooling capacity of 6,000 BTUs, this model uses less energy compared to many other brands. The coolant is said to result in no ozone depletion.
Stay Hydrated
Haier Water Dispenser. This water cooler (and heater) from Haier has handy features like a convenient refrigerator compartment, thermostats and more. The comparatively big refrigerator compartments are useful for storing beverages and other perishable food items.
Stay Well Read
Kindle DX. The Kindle DX is an eBook as thin as most magazines, and fits nicely in your hands. The beautiful, large display supports a broad range of reading materials. Graphic-rich books, blogs, magazines, newspapers and much more can be easily read with this design.
Any of these products will help you relax as you stay indoors and beat the summer heat. They are also more energy efficient than competing products.
The Daily Green's Community News section is a forum for our audience to get the word out about issues that matter to them, enlist support, get help and advice, celebrate successes or share humor. The best submissions are personal (why I started this venture) short and to the point (400 words or so) and written in a style that speaks directly to the audience as peers (not like an ad or press release). E-mail submissions to news@thedailygreen.com and include "community news" in the subject line. Photos are also welcome, provided the submitter has rights to publish the image. Be sure to include credit and caption information.
