With today’s widespread focus on “green” issues, consumers and businesses are looking for real and actionable solutions that can lessen their environmental impact and reduce their energy costs. Today the Climate Savers Computing Initiative launched an online product catalog that makes the process of finding an energy-efficient PC quick and easy. An energy-efficient computer can reduce your electric bill by an average of $7-10 per year.

The Climate Savers Computing catalog contains more than 300 energy-efficient products including PCs, laptops, motherboards, power supplies, power supply components and power management software. To browse the product catalog or find more information about CSCI visit ClimateSaversComputing.org.

CSCI is a nonprofit group of eco-conscious consumers, businesses and conservation organizations dedicated to improving the power efficiency and reducing the energy consumption of computers. The Initiative’s goal is to reduce computer power consumption by 50 percent by 2010 by increasing the use of power management and encouraging the use of more energy-efficient computers.
