How Apple Greened Its MacBooks and iPods

Greenpeace can claim victories in its effort to improve the environmental performance of Apple, when the computer giant unveiled its new MacBook, free of much of the toxic stuff that went into older models, and much more energy efficient to boot. iPods, too, will be made without brominated flame retardants, a suspect chemical that builds up in the tissues of every living thing with unknown consequences.
